Course Description
McCrae Training’s 2-day Water Jetting course covers the mandatory Safety Awareness course combined with another module. The Safety Awareness course covers all main areas of water jetting operations and safety, while the module covers theory, practical application, and the use of equipment and guns based on the module.
We also run a standalone one-day WJA accredited Pressure Washing course.
The Safety Awareness course must be completed in conjunction with another Water Jetting module to obtain an operational card. Water Jetting modules include the following:
- Drain, Sewer & Gun (DSG) (formerly Drain & Sewer (DSP)): covers use of a jetting gun up to 275 bar
- Surface Preparation (SP)
- Tube, Pipe, and Bundle Cleaning (TP)
- Pressure Washing (PW)
Course Aims
Candidates who are new to the industry as well as experienced operatives who will be carrying out HP and/or UHP water jetting operations
A WJA-qualified trainer/coach delivers the course on a modular basis where candidates are assessed throughout the day using a Clickapad system. Candidates are required to obtain a 75% pass mark in their assessments.
The Safety Awareness course alongside a module is a 2-day course. The standalone Pressure Washing course is a 1-day course. Our courses run from 8:30 – 16:30.
Candidates should have a proficient level of English to participate in this course.
There are no pre-requisites for this course.
No PPE is required for the one-day Safety Awareness course. However, if you are attending the two-day course with an operational module, PPE will be required. Please bring:
- Safety footwear
- Overalls
- Hi-vis jacket
- Safety glasses
- Gloves
- Hearing protection
- Hard hat
- Waterproofs
- Full face visor
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will be registered with the Water Jetting Association, where registrations are valid for 3 years. Candidates will be issued with a Virtual WJA card and certificate. Physical cards can be provided upon request.
