Keep Your Staff Site Ready

Ensuring Compliance and Efficiency in the 2025–2030 Regulatory Period.

AMP8 (Asset Management Period) marks the most significant regulatory framework cycle in the history of the UK water industry. With over £100 billion earmarked for infrastructure, environmental improvements, and leakage reduction, there is going to be an increase in the projects being started on water sites in the coming years.

The biggest challenge facing the water industry during AMP8 is having the skilled workforce to sustain the work. Contractors will have to ensure that they have the staff to fulfil the increasing workload. This will involve the upskilling of staff and the recruitment of new workers into the industry. Have you got the training you need to meet the demand?

AMP8 is the regulatory period running from 2025 to 2030. Overseen by Ofwat, it establishes performance targets, environmental obligations, and the financial framework that governs spending across the sector.

The complexity and volume of these projects — ranging from smart network integration to environmental impact mitigations — requires a workforce that is skilled to deliver on the aims and targets outlined in the framework.

Under AMP8, water companies face significantly higher penalties for environmental non-compliance and service failures. For Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors, providing a certified, competent workforce is the best defense against project delays and financial penalties. Our training ensures your teams are fully conversant with the latest environmental standards and technical requirements, reducing the "competency gap" that often leads to onsite errors.

Yes. We understand that within the AMP8 period, not all businesses will be tasked with the same work. That is why we strive to provide a range of training across the utility sector. This is why we offer:

  • Virtual Training (Remote Live and eLearning)
  • On-site Training
    • At our training centres throughout the UK
    • On your site in the form of closed courses
  • Weekend Training

We work with you to accommodate your needs and ensure your staff get the training they require.

We work with you to ensure you can easily stay on top of your workforce certifications. We outline how long qualifications last for each course and provide the necessary resources for candidates to stay on top of this.

When you have completed training with us, we will remind your training coordinator and the candidate themselves of qualifications that are due renewal. This is done through our automated SMS and Email reminder service.
