CITB - Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)

Course Description

The Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is a two-day course designed for individuals who currently have, or are about to take on, supervisory responsibilities within the building, construction, and civil engineering industries. The course covers essential legislation and other aspects that impact safe working practices. It emphasizes the importance of risk assessments, the implementation of control measures, and effective communication to foster a health and safety culture on-site.

This course is endorsed by Build UK and exceeds the standards set by CITB for construction supervisors training.

Course Aims

The SSSTS course aims to equip site supervisors with the necessary skills to:

  • Supervise health and safety on-site in accordance with current legal requirements and within the context of their role.
  • Understand their responsibilities and accountability for the health, safety, and welfare of workers on-site.
  • Recognise the benefits of maintaining a safe, efficient, economical, productive, and environmentally friendly work environment.

Who Should Attend?

This course is ideal for those who currently hold or are about to hold a supervisory role within the construction industry. Delegates must be competent in English at the site supervisor level.
